Viewing Thai under Adobe Acrobat By Thiravudh Khoman Re: Steve Smith's problems in getting Thai characters to display properly in an Adobe Acrobat-created PDF document (Post Database, 11-Oct-2000), may I suggest that he use Adobe's Distiller instead of PDFWriter to create the PDF file (both are automatically installed with Acrobat v4.0). Distiller is a bit smarter than PDFWriter, the latter being better suited for quick and dirty captures. This may not work in all instances though; i.e. I've never tried it with Microsoft Publisher but it does help with saving Thai text under Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, there isn't an Acrobat language pack for Thai yet. |
